Hello Everyone. Thank you for visiting my web site. I am centrally located in beautiful Colorado, close to the Denver metro area, but also near the towns of Greeley, Evans, LaSalle and Platteville in Northern Colorado.
My husband Roger and I moved to Colorado in 1994. We suddenly found ourselves empty-nesters and decided it was time to pack up and move on. We came here after spending 15 years in Arkansas (we are both natives of Iowa), so it was a bit of an adjustment getting acclimated to the altitude and the dryer climate.
I have 2 grown children, both married, and 1 beautiful grandson who will soon be 3 years old. My daughter Kathleen and her husband Rick live in Brooklyn, NY, where she is an elementary/ middle school teacher. My son Roger and his wife Allison live in Southwest Iowa where he helps his uncle farm approximately 3,000 acres. My grandson, Nolan, has just been diagnosed with Autism, so that is going to give us all a bit more of a challenge to see that he gets the help he needs.
I got my real estate license in 1996 and started doing real estate full time in January of 1997. It is a very exciting/interesting business, and there is not much joy any greater than seeing someone get that home they really want, especially if it is their first home.
Right now there are areas of the United States that are having some very hard times, being hit with a lot of foreclosures, short sales, etc. We, here in central Colorado, have been much luckier than some. Our market is starting to bounce back, and going into the summer, I believe it will pick up considerably. It is still very much a buyers market, so if you have been thinking at all about buying, this is the time (especially with the possible $8,000 tax credit if you buy and close before December 1 of 2009).
